10 Best Shooting Games (FPS) for Low-End PCs

Note: The list isn't arranged. However, I've mentioned rating in front of every title.

Project IGI: I'm going in ( Rating : 7.5 )

It's really one of the best FPS games to date. The game's old graphics are not eye-catching for a modern gamer but the fun is undeniable. Just jump in the world of IGI and take stealth shooting to its extreme. Avoid getting detected by cameras otherwise you would have to face a whole bunch of guards equipped with AK47's.

IGI 2 : Covert Strike ( Rating : 6.5 )

In IGI 2 straightforward approaches are not encouraged, with stealthy and covert movement giving the player a better rating, rank and chance of survival. The game really challenges your abilities and is a must-play.

Medal of Honor Allied Assault ( Rating : 7.5 )

Published by EA Games, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, MOHAA, is the call of duty of its time. It's a fun game with low graphics so everyone can play it. The game features intense action in WWII scenario. The multiplayer feature is awesome. The graphics are better than both the above games.

Medal of Honor Pacific Assault ( Rating : 7.5 )

Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault (abbreviated MoHPA) is a first-person shooter computer game the story of which takes place during the Pacific War. It is the 7th installment of the Medal of Honor series. The game's awesome graphics with immense involvement of fighter jets makes it a standout game.

Medal of Honor Airborne ( Rating : 8.5 )

The game uses a massively improved version of Unreal Engine 3, so the graphics are really really great (suitable for low end PCs if played on 'Very Low' Graphics). Airborne employs a nonlinear gameplay style whereby the player can start the game anywhere in the map by directing where they land, as opposed to previous linear FPS games where the start point and direction is already laid out, such as Allied Assault.

Far Cry ( Rating : 8 )

This is really a must-play game with features none of the above games offer. You can drive cars, pilot gliders and kill animals. The terrain in Far Cry varies greatly. Set on a South Pacific archipelago, the landscape includes beaches, dense rain forests, towering canyons, mines, swamps, and even volcanic forests. Many of the interiors range from simple beach huts and army camps to elaborate complexes, an underground temple, and ultra-modern research labs.

Far Cry 2 ( Rating : 10 )

Keep one thing in your mind, I'm going to write a lot about this game. Read every line because it's worth that. It's the shortest explanation I could give.

The best graphics in the whole list belong to Far Cry 2. So, you need a good rig to play it, but do give it a try because if your PC can play it, even a lowest settings, you won't regret it. In my opinion, this is the best game in this list. The game has realistic features such as weapon degradation and the dynamic weather system. The player needs to hold a physical map and use a handheld navigation system When vehicles are damaged the player must perform a short repair animation, involving the tightening of one of the bolts on the radiator (assault trucks), headers (buggy) or other interior part with a ratchet. The player must deal with different levels of malaria. Every 30 to 40 minutes in real time, the player must take a pill in order to combat the blinding and potentially deadly effects of the illness. The Dunia Engine allows complex sequences and run-events during gameplay; the game features a day-and-night cycle, as well as tree and vegetation regeneration. A unique fire propagation mechanism, which allows a small fire to spread and eventually cause large brush fires, may be used either to the player's advantage during combat or against the player. The behavior of fire is dependent on factors such as wind speed, wind direction, rain, and vegetation type. Several species of animals can be encountered in the game, and are able to distract the enemy as well as make them aware of the player's presence. All the large animals in the game are grazing herbivores, such as zebras, wildebeest, gazelle, buffalo, impala, and gemsbok. Also domestic animals such as goats and chickens can be found. None of the wildlife found in the game pose any direct threat to the player.

Battlefield 2 ( Rating : 8.5 )

In Battlefield 2, players are divided into two opposing teams (which factions they represent is dependent upon the map). The key objective in Battlefield 2 is to reduce the opposing teams tickets. Tickets represent an army's ability to reinforce their position on the battlefield; each team has only a limited supply of tickets, and each casualty on the battlefield reduces the number of available tickets. You can fly planes, pilot helicopters, drive boats, tanks, APVs and other vehicles. You can man machine guns and much more. If you want to play a game with many features, it's your way to go.

Call of Duty 2 ( Rating : 7.5 )

Call of Duty 2 is a first-person shooter that has a single-player story mode and a multiplayer mode. Emplaced weapons such as machine guns and flak cannons are available in some locations to take out enemy troops. In addition, some missions place the player in control of a tank. Should the player take severe damage, the screen will turn red and the sound of the character's heartbeat will increase in volume; this indicates the player's health is low. The player must find a way to stay out of fire to recover before entering battle again or else will die and restart from the last checkpoint.

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare ( Rating : 9.5 )

First thing first, this game needs Pentium 4 2.5 GHz atleast, with 512 MB RAM. Even if you don't match the exact requirements, like if you have a 2.1 GHz processor, you can still play the game by download patch 1.6 (link) and 1.7 (link). If you get the game working, you will surely enjoy playing it. It's the best game of its time and is played even still. The spectacular graphics and stunning in-game cutscenes really make it the second best game in this series. If with a PC able to play almost every game to date, I still play this game. The multiplayer is where things get more interesting. The multiplayer features ranking system, unlockable perks and weapon modification. If you want to play multiplayer, this is the best game in the whole list (multiplayer-wise).
